It was just a couple of nights ago that my sons and I were
talking about AMC’s hit show, “The Walking Dead” and I wondered aloud if we
would ever see Morgan or Duane again. If you remember, they’re the ones that found Rick after his
leaving the hospital and, after an initial shovel to the face, saved his life.
Well last night’s episode, entitled “Clear”, was all about
the return of Morgan! It seems he’s been a busy boy, constructing all kinds of
Scooby-Doo style booby traps. Unfortunately, Duane is a goner… and what makes
it worse is that he was apparently killed by the one zombie Morgan didn't have
the emotional strength to kill… that of his wife.
As you can imagine, that kind of guilt has driven Morgan a
little bonkers, resulting in Rick having a really hard time convincing him of
who he was. Eventually, Morgan came around and, after being offered the chance
to come to the prison with Rick, he chooses to stay put.. claiming that his
mission in this world is to “clear”, meaning kill and burn zombies.
This episode was an emotional roller coaster of anger and sadness coupled with the warm-fuzzies of an emerging bond between Michonne, Carl and eventually Rick. "I think she's one of us" Carl told his dad....
This episode might very well go down as one of my personal favorites.
Oh! Did I mention a hitchhiker gets ripped to shreds?!

Check out this look at the creation of “Clear” and just how
the actors feel it affects their characters.
Aim high. Run fast.
