Need a Zombie Bunker?, pt. 2

This particular home has been around the internet for about a year now, so it's possible you've seen it, but I still feel it's worthy of mentioning, simply because it is AMAZING.

Built between 2005 and 2009, this house has 'movable parts' and actually folds in on itself, completely sealing out any threat from the outside world.

During the day, the house is open and creates a courtyard and very open feel. By dusk, it's closed up tight and the only way in is over by drawbridge to the second floor where visitors have to wait within a 'safety zone' before being allowed to enter.

It's designed by the Polish architecture firm KWK Promes, and it looks to be the best zombie-proof structure I've ever seen.

30 Odd Zombies!

A couple of weeks ago, we here at B'HQ were surprised and honored to have paranormal researcher Jeff Belanger saunter into our front office, and although he only wanted directions, we pushed him into the old zombification machine and THIS was the result.

Well, not only did he not sue us, he actually came back and brought his friends! And judging by their burning torches and pitchforks, they wanted to have some kind of BBQ / bonfire!

Once they fell into s'mores induced comas, we dragged them into the zombification machine and "accidentally" hit the big red button... resulting in "30 Odd Minutes of the Dead!"

Fortunately for us and our inexperienced lawyers, Jeff and his crew loved the results and even gave B'hold Designs a great shout out on their 100th episode!!

Click this link to check out their program, it's really cool! It streams for free every week and is broadcast on several channels throughout the country. You can even check out past episodes that are archived!

Check it out! (shout out begins at 3:00)

Aim high. Run fast. Thanks "30 Odd" Crew!

The Return of Merle!

Who's ready for October?? AMC's "The Walking Dead" season three looks to be even MORE highly anticipated than that of season two!

Of course if you follow the show, there are several reasons why you're about to pee yourself in anticipation, but here are three HUGE ones...

MERLE...
That's right! Everyone's favorite white trash, bigot is returning and sporting some new gear where his hand should be!

MICHONNE...
This character looks to be a female Darryl, which could be pretty cool.

THE GOVERNOR...
From what I've read online, I won't like this guy.... and I love that! And, yes, that DOES make sense because when it comes to movie and TV... we all LOVE to HATE the bad guy!

I don't read the graphic novel series, but I have read enough hype online to expect AMAZING things from the Michonne and Governor characters. This season looks to be astounding!

Sweet Rides for the Zombie Apocalypse, pt. 4

Ok, this wouldn't exactly protect you from the throngs of undead, but it would certainly gain the attention of rescue choppers!

No need to adjust your glasses… you're seeing a 1970 Volkswagen Beetle completely revamped to look like KISS bassist, Gene Simmons! It's currently in the Denver area of Colorado, and available for sell for a mere $10,000 on THIS CRAIGSLIST AD.

Rock and Roll all night, kill zombies every day.

Need a Zombie Bunker?

As the undead approach, you're probably gearing up for the approaching zombie apocalypse by stocking up on granola and toilet paper. Good job. But what about a bunker?

It seems most people that I have seen on the program "Doomsday Preppers" have a back up shelter they are set to run to when the poo hits the fan, and that's a great idea, but what if you wake up one morning, go outside in your boxers to get your paper and find that your yard is already filled with undead? Wouldn't a facility that doubles as a home AND a zombie bunker work best?

You're in luck! The Atlas-F Silo Luxury Home, located in NY's Adirondack Mountains is up for sale!!

This 2000 square foot cabin sits on 19.2 acres of gorgeous forestry, and sports it's own personal airstrip!!

A keypad grants access to the basement where you'll find 2,300 MORE square feet with two bedroom suites, marble bathrooms, 10-foot ceilings, an open floor plan, AND SIMULATED DAYLIGHT.

The basement is actually a former launch control center, with a doorway connecting to the old missile silo....an additional NINE STORIES of bunker space.

That's a whole lot of granola and TP.

Check it out (really good stuff starts around 2:00):

Can't afford this particular bunker? Then take the next best thing.... a zombie bunker shirt from B'hold Designs!! Get the gear by clicking HERE!

Sweet Rides for the Zombie Apocalypse, Pt. 3

An auto maker has taken matters into their own hands to develop a vehicle considered ready to protect it's passengers from the hordes of undead... and they've sought out an EXPERT to design it.

Hyundai has teamed up with none other than ROBERT KIRKMAN to create it's "Zombie Survival Machine" based on its new Elantra Coupe, which will be unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con on July 11th!

Some of it's features are a spiked cow catcher, spinning blades from the wheels, slotted metal plates to protect the windows and a metal fencing around the sunroof.

An animated version will appear in the 100th issue of "The Walking Dead" graphic novel series.

Of course it's all in the name of advertising for Hyundai, but at least they're going about it the right way.

Sweet Rides for the Zombie Apocalypse, pt. 2

Ok. So we saw the flying car if you want to fly high above the carnage of a zombie apocalypse — and it was really cool, but only a two-seater at best. What if there are five or six (or more) of you?

Then maybe the Knight XV from Conquest Vehicles is the better choice for you! Being TWICE the size of the typical Hummer, this fully-armored truck might be able to hold you, your family, AND your uncle Leon.

It has opaque bullet-proof glass, ballistic run-flat tires, night-vision surveillance cameras and an external listening device with a high-powered, roof-mounted spotlight.

Need some style, too? How about the upholstered leather and Wilton Wool seating and flat-screen TV, refreshment bar, and satellite TV? It even has a cigar humidor so you can channel your inner George Peppard and talk about how you "love it when a plan comes together" while the undead squish under your massive tires.

The one thing it doesn't have is a toilet, which is unfortunate because it's price tag of $300,000 is enough to make you crap your pants.

Sweet Rides for the Zombie Apocalypse

What vehicle would you want to cruise around in during a zombie apocalypse? What elements would make a good vehicle? Maneuverability comes to mind. Of course you'd want something that gets a lot of bang for the buck in terms of fuel usage... and maybe you'd like something that could just fly you the hell out of there!

Introducing the PAL-V ONE Flying Car!

This three-wheeled vehicle will give you the comfort of a car and the agility of a motorcycle because of it's patented tilting system. It will need some room because it takes off like a plane, so if you don't have much runway, you'll need to drive it out of the danger zone... BUT it can get up to 112 mph on the ground AND in the air, AND should you run into engine failure it can be steered and landed safely because the rotor keeps auto rotating. OH, and one tank of gas will take you up to 750 miles on land and 315 miles by air.

No word on cup holders...

Jeff Belanger Gives B'hold Designs a Shout Out!

Remember when we strapped paranormal researcher Jeff Belanger into the zombification machine and hit "frappé"? Well, apparently the anesthetic hasn't completely worn off because he's still pleased with the results! So much so, in fact, that he gave a personal shout out to B'hold Designs in his latest live show "30 Odd Minutes" last night!!

We at B'hold Designs are humbled to be included on such a cool, informative program that featured paranormal radio host, Dave Schrader!

Thanks Jeff!

Ultimate Zombie Weapons, pt. 2

I've taken to the magic of the interweb again in search of amazing weapons that you might find your Uncle Leon swinging wildly when the zombies come.

LAST TIME, we saw the Red Jacket ZK-22 Bullpup Rifle… an amazing little weapon, but is it the ultimate, or can it be improved upon?

How about if we modify a rifle with a chainsaw?

Introducing the Zombie-X rifle, created by DoubleStar. A modified AK-47 with a battery-powered electric chainsaw mounted on the front...talk about freakin' sweet.

OH! And it has a really cool scope that puts a glowing biohazard symbol on the target instead of the usual red dot. Read all about that feature HERE.

Check it out:

And don't forget your B'hold Designs Ultimate Camouflage for extra protection! Get that gear HERE.

Jeff Belanger is Zombified!

What happens when a paranormal researcher, author, and television & radio personality saunters into B'hold Designs headquarters and asks to be zombified? He's given a number and asked to have a seat.

That seat then lowers him into the zombification machine and he's soon transformed into a shambling, moaning undead while the B'hold Designs scientists high-five each other.

Please welcome Jeff Belanger to the B'hold zombie clan! Jeff is everything I mentioned above and has appeared on The History Channel, The Travel Channel, Biography Channel, and a plethora of other national television and radio programs! Check out his site HERE!

Many thanks to Jeff for his work, his wit and his willingness to endure the stale snacks and decades old magazines in the B'hold Designs waiting room.

Dish is Removing AMC!!!

The unthinkable is happening. Dish Network is removing (or may have already) AMC from it's line up!! That means no access to new episodes of "The Walking Dead!!"

While I have no idea what has gone on in the corporate offices of Dish and AMC to bring such a tragedy about, I feel we - as loyal fans of the show - must do something to try and stop this from happening. And it's not just for October's premiere, but "Talking Dead" has a special sneak peek NEXT MONTH!!

Here's the Dish info (as provided by AMC). Let's rattle their cage a bit and see if we can save our favorite show!

  1. Call 855-KEEP-AMC or go to WWW.KEEPAMC.COM
  2. Contact DISH on Twitter by tweeting to @dish & @dish_answers.

Ultimate Zombie Weapons

In the interest of survival when the undead come shuffling up to our doorsteps, I'm in search of the ultimate zombie weapon.

The first stop in my quest bring brought me to the doorstep of Red Jacket Firearms. I was unaware that Max Brooks, author and zombie go-to guy, had been there first and asked them to set something up.

What they came up with is what looks like a pretty amazing little weapon... the Red Jacket ZK-22 Bullpup Rifle.

Check it out:

And don't forget the perfect accessory in the zombie apocalypse is my Ultimate Camouflage! Not sure if you need it? Consider this:  Even Max Brooks HIMSELF has one.... of course I gave it to him, but I'm sure that it's hanging in his zombie bunker, wherever that may be.

"Nothing to See Here..."

Ok...everybody calm down!

Yes, there have been several really weird "zombie-like" crimes committed lately that have received the attention of the world, but guess what? The CDC says not to worry! There's no zombie apocalypse.

Whew! We can all relax now, right?

But wait...isn't that the first thing they say at the beginning of every zombie film?

Zombie Song

I heard a cool new zombie song on the radio last night! Well, it's new to me anyway. See what you think.

Enjoy...
