Parkour!

I admire those crazy spider types who can run, jump and scale buildings with just a couple of hops. It reminds me of how much I wanted to be Spider-Man when I was a kid. They say it's never too late to learn something new, but I'm sure if I tried the kind of stuff in the video below, it would look like THIS.

Anywho... this is a cool, first person video of a parkour enthusiast trying to outrun zombies who are just as good at it as he is. It was inspired by the new video game, Dying Light.

All I can say is, if zombies can keep up with this guy, the rest of us are screwed.

Enjoy:

Zombies From Down Under

You guys know I love zombie films, right? I've mentioned that before, yes?

Did you know they make great training films for all the new recruits here at B'HQ? For example, we wouldn't have the state-of-the-art lawnmower chest plate with out that awesome scene from "Dead Alive," AND each guard marching the perimeter is issued both a firearm AND cricket bat thanks to "Shaun of the Dead."

That's why we're all giggly over the trailer to the Australian zombie flick, "Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead." Described as "Mad Max" meets "Dawn of the Dead," it sounds like a plethora of body armor/weaponry information and ideas.

According to it's official IMDB page, it releases to theaters February 13th... just in time for Valentine's Day, so grab your sweetie, some ammo, and possibly a barf bag because this looks ridiculously cool.

Enjoy:

Zombie-Killin' Birthdays!

I love birthdays.... not mine so much. At my age there's nothing much to celebrate except that you're not dead yet.... but in general, birthdays are cool. There's cake, ice cream, naked pin the tail on the donkey... what's not to love?

I also love AMC's "The Walking Dead." So imagine how excited I am to shout out a happy bday to two of our favorite walker-slayers!

Yesterday was the anniversary of the birth of Norman Reedus... the one and only guy who brings recovering bigot Daryl Dixon to life. And TODAY is the birthday of everyone's favorite tv farm girl, Lauren Cohan, aka Maggie!

There were no party invites in my mailbox or voicemail, so I'm assuming they celebrated alone with a quart of ice cream and their old Journey albums, like I do.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS!

New Year - Same Vigilance

Holy crap it's a new year.

Each January, people around the world make resolutions to "improve" their employment status, their education, or themselves. Unfortunately, in their quest for something new, they often disregard tried and true standards... standards that could keep them safe when granny comes shuffling home again.

One of those tried and true standards is none other than the B'hold Designs Ultimate Camouflage!

What makes it so "ultimate" you ask?

Consider regular camouflage. It helps you hide. Big deal... so you're hiding behind a bush and STILL can't make your way thru the undead to what's left of the 7-11 across the street.

BUT, with the patented messaging on the B'hold Designs ULTIMATE Camouflage, it doesn't matter if you're seen or not! Stroll across the street with confidence as zombie after zombie reads your shirt, shrugs and shuffles away, forced to search elsewhere to satisfy their brain lust. Finally, you have time to grab that Big Gulp... hell, grab TWO if you want.

By now, you no doubt have your credit card out and are screaming at your computer to tell you where you can secure your OWN piece of B'hold Designs. Well, I'll tell ya, big spender....

That's right. It's as simple as that. That magical link will take you directly to my storefront, where my army of trained monkeys will assist you with your purchase.

Know anyone else that you'd like to see survive the apocalypse? Don't be afraid to get them a shirt while you're at it... or an iPad case, or phone case, or a coffee mug, travel mug or a freakin' throw pillow (you heard me).

At B'hold Designs, your safety when the zombies come is our main concern, but we want money too, so click and buy stuff, because at B'hold Designs, we put the "AWESOME" in "Holy crap! That's AWESOME!"

Long Beach Outbreak

2014 is drawing to a close. All too soon it will be a new year, with new possibilities, resolutions and crazy long lines for the dumbbell rack in the gym.

Next year the four-eyed whiz-bangs at B'HQ will be upgrading the old zombification machine with whistles and fancy new knobs! And, if budget allows, one of those cool electo-spheres that makes your hair stand up when you touch it!

BUT - before I could initiate machine upgrade protocol (clean it), along came our pals Holly and Tony in from Long Beach! Why? To use our phone volunteer to be zombified, of course!

So, check it out, boys and girls... the final zombies from B'hold Designs for 2014! And while you're at it, head over to the official B'HQ Zombie Horde to check out others you may have missed (and be sure to exit thru the gift shop).

Aim high. Run fast. Happy New Year!

The "Hunger" Games

I don't know a lot about these "Hunger Games" movies, nor have I read the books so I can't really reflect on the storyline and how it may or may not apply to a possible zombie apocalypse.

I have, however, always felt that "The Hunger Games" sounds more like the title of a zombie movie than anything else, and having seen a few interviews with Jennifer Lawrence, I can't help but think she'd be totally down for starring in such a film!

So, Jen, if you're reading this (and really, why wouldn't you be?), give me a shout. I've got a few dozen scripts gathering dust in the basement of B'HQ I'd like to run past you.

In the meantime... enjoy the TRUE "Hunger Games."

A New Breed of Zombie?

I don't discuss video game zombies very often, simply because I'm not a gamer and therefore don't feel qualified to judge various attempts at apocalyptic zombie horror in that context.

HOWEVER, I want to share this trailer for the zombies of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" simply because of the names that are attached to it....and also the amazing graphics.

It's narrated by John Malkovich, who provides his talents to the game along with a few others you may know - Rose McGowan, Bill Paxton ("Game over, man! Game over!!"...it's a movie reference kiddos. Look it up.) and "The Walking Dead's" own, Mr. Jon Bernthal (Shane)!

Enjoy.

So, where should I start? How about with REC 4: Apocalypse coming January 16, 2015!

Pass the Ketchup

It starts out innocently enough... you and your brand new sweetheart step into a restaurant, fast food joint, or a cruise through a drive-thru. You order french fries and ask your beloved if she'd like some as well.

Her response? "No thank you. I'm not very hungry."

"Are you sure?"

She smiles sweetly and replies "I'm sure."

Your food arrives and before you even have time to open your ketchup packet, she reaches over and steals one of your french fries. You look at her in disbelief. She smiles and your heart melts. And it happens again... and again.

You say, "I thought you didn't want any french fries."

Her reply? "I don't want a whole order to myself. I'll just have some of yours."

You stare back at her in disbelief. You ordered food that YOU wanted to eat. You gave her an option to have food that SHE could eat. Why didn't it work out that way??

With a half smile you say "ok" as she takes a few more.

The above scenario is one that happens every day all over the world, but it doesn't have to! Stand up with me, fellow husbands and boyfriends, and let your significant other (and everyone around you) know that it's not ok! Let them know they need to GET THEIR OWN DAMN FRENCH FRIES!

This design is available on shirts, phone skins and much more, so CLICK HERE to get your own and let the revolution begin!

Zombies vs. Maggots??

You have to love the idea of a zombie apocalypse.

Besides the benefit of being able to sleep as late as you'd like (provided someone keeps watch), there's the sheer coolness of playing tag with the undead version of your uncle Leon! Only this time you could smack him with a tennis racket and he wouldn't care!

But would it last? Could zombies really take over the world?

The answer is yes...but not for long.

It turns out that the best ally we have in the war against the undead is nature itself. And nature's toughest hombre? The tiny maggot. Yep.

Lost, Found, and Lost Again...

Warning: Spoiler's Below

Last night was the mid-season finale of AMC's "The Walking Dead" and it hit the ground running... literally.

With officer baldy (his name escapes me, no pun intended) on the run, Rick wasn't far behind. Had this happened a couple of seasons ago, officer baldy might have been ok, but this is season 5 Rick and he doesn't take any crap and now he can add vehicular assault to his laundry list of post-apocalyptic necessary craziness.

But the big talk of the night is, of course, the loss of Beth who decided in the last second of the hostage trade to stand up to Dawn and stab her with a pair of scissors. Dawn retaliated with a bullet to Beth's head and then made the "oops" face just before a very pissed off Daryl paid her back at point blank range.

Let's hear it from the cast and crew themselves:

By the way.... MORGAN IS GETTING CLOSER! Did you see his face when he saw Rick's name on that map? February can't come fast enough!

Duuuude.......

Ever daydream about being the big hero? Something like, Jennifer Aniston's shower stops working and only you have the ability to fix the issue while bringing her a washcloth-sized towel? Ok, maybe that's just me.

How about a zombie day dream? Many times, while elbowing my way to the macaroni and cheese, I have imagined going "Ash" on the zombified patrons of my local retail giant all to the applause and loving sighs of Jennifer Aniston in a washcloth-sized towel.

Now you can tell the world how you would come through in a zombie apocalypse simply by wearing a t-shirt!

B'hold Designs presents, the "Dude" design.

It reads: "Dude! If the zombies came I'd be like "Whoa!" and you'd be all like "I know, right?!" and then I'd be all "Bang! Bang! Pow!" with my shotgun and they'd be all like "Holy crap! We're dead again!" That would be awesome"

Poetry ain't it?

So zip on over to my STORE where you can pick up this little number for yourself and expect the fist bumps, high fives and knowing smirks to come rolling in as everyone (with the patience to read t-shirts with long messages) will no doubt rest a little easier knowing you've got their back.

Aim high. Run fast. Dude.

New Zombie Artwork

Ok... I've been REALLY bad about keeping this blog updated lately. Normally, I would come up with some kind of ridiculous excuse as to why I've been so neglectful lately, but this time my ridiculous excuse is completely valid. The B'hold Designs headquarters had a nasty infestation of sasquatches that kept pooping in the break room and shedding hair all over the computer equipment, and it took weeks to set up and empty all the traps (ever try to set a sasquatch sized mouse trap? It's tricky.).

Anywho - I'm back, AND I've got some new zombie artwork in honor of one of the characters from my very favorite tv show, AMC's "The Walking Dead."

Say hello to zombified Carol!

Now, let me be clear. I really hope Carol doesn't die in tomorrow's mid-season finale. I just really wanted to zombify her.

As always you can see her, and the rest of my zombie horde by clicking HERE.

AND DON'T FORGET!!!! Christmas is coming and I have tons of ridiculous shirts and stuff that I would love to unload on sell to you wonderful people! 'Why worry about zombies at Christmas' you ask? Simple. Because grandma might get run over by a reindeer... and get back up.

So, run over to my STORE just as fast as your little mouse will click, and stock up on all the zombie gear your credit card can handle, fellow fans of the undead, because as I've always said..... you need stuff, and I need money.

Aim high. Run fast.

Holy Crap!!

The title of this blog serves two meanings. (spoilers ahead!)

1. I overslept the last 6 months or so and just woke up about ten minutes before last nights season premiere of AMC's "The Walking Dead" (boy, did I have to pee!)

and, 2. What an amazing season premiere for season five!!

Carol (aka Rambo) literally saved everyone's bacon, or more accurately, saved them from BECOMING bacon with her marksman/fireworks/pyromaniac skills she has developed since the dead took over the world!

Want more cool news? Tyreese, who was too broken up to even knife one single walker (seriously, he took baby Judith from Carol and asked her to do it), FINALLY got his mojo back when Judith was threatened by a jerk-hole from terminus. Ah.... it was nice to see Tyreese beating someone to death again.

Fighting, amazing kills, horrific deaths and the return of a fan favorite!! What a premiere!!

Now, I could go on and on with a recap OR you could watch this video that shows you everything you'd like to know, with explanations and theories from the stars themselves. Which do you prefer?

That's what I thought. Enjoy:

But what if you're out there saying "but Brett! I totally missed the premiere because my DVR pooped itself!"

Fear not! For the next THIRTY DAYS you can watch the premiere for FREE from our pals at AMC. Just CLICK HERE and hold on to your freaking hat!

Follow the Tracks

Warning Spoiler's Ahead:

After opening with a cool look back at Bob's life up until being discovered by Daryl, last night's episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead" continued with the ongoing quest for "sanctuary" at the mysterious town of Terminus, and hope of reconnecting with lost friends and loved ones.

Bob, Sasha, and Maggie deal with the fear of loneliness and the unknown, while Daryl and Beth come this close to making out... at least that's how it looked to me..... but before it could happen, she gets kidnapped?!? What the.....?!?

Maybe those involved can shed some light on the situation for us:

Therapy of the Dead

Warning: Spoilers ahead!

Wow. How would I describe last night's episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead"? Emotional. Traumatic. Exciting..... and healing.

Poor Daryl... blaming himself for the Governor splitting everyone up and killing Herschel, and still carrying baggage from his redneck days.

Poor Beth... begging for emotional contact, missing her family and, frankly, getting very tired of Daryl's brooding crap.

Put them together and what do you get? Three years of therapy in one episode (and the added bonus of seeing sweet little Beth "flipping the bird")!

Check it out:
